Acceptable Use Policy


1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the standards of acceptable and prohibited conduct for all users of the InvinSource Platform (“Platform”), operated by Infopercept Consulting Private Limited (“InvinSource”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

This AUP applies to all users of the Platform, including registered learners, institutional subscribers, guest users, and any other person accessing the Platform in any capacity. It forms part of and supplements the InvinSource Terms and Conditions (Parts A and B), and must be read alongside the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and AI Features Terms of Use.

By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your access to the Platform and, where appropriate, referral to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities.

2. General Standards of Use

All users are expected to use the Platform in a manner that is:

  • Lawful: in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations;
  • Ethical: consistent with professional standards in the cybersecurity industry;
  • Respectful: considerate of other users, mentors, InvinSource staff, and third parties;
  • Honest: truthful in all interactions, submissions, and assessments on the Platform;
  • Responsible: taking full accountability for all actions taken on or through the Platform.

3. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on the InvinSource Platform:

3.1 Cybersecurity Misuse

Given the nature of InvinSource as a cybersecurity education platform, the following is explicitly prohibited:

3.1.1 Using any cybersecurity technique, tool, attack methodology, script, exploit, payload, or knowledge acquired through InvinSource against any real-world system, network, organisation, individual, or infrastructure without explicit, documented, written authorisation from the system owner;

3.1.2 Conducting any form of unauthorised penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, denial-of-service attack, social engineering attack, phishing campaign, malware deployment, ransomware attack, or any other cyber offence against any party;

3.1.3 Applying skills learned on the Platform to gain unauthorised access to any computer system, network, database, or digital infrastructure;

3.1.4 Sharing, distributing, or commercialising any offensive cybersecurity tools, exploit code, or attack scripts generated, accessed, or developed through the Platform;

3.1.5 Using InvinSource’s lab environments to conduct attacks on systems outside the designated, isolated lab environment;

3.1.6 Attempting to gain unauthorised access to another learner’s account, lab environment, or assessment system.

3.2 Academic Dishonesty

3.2.1 Engaging in plagiarism, cheating, or impersonation during any assessment, quiz, lab, or evaluation on the Platform;

3.2.2 Sharing, publishing, or distributing assessment questions, answers, lab solutions, or course materials on any public or private channel outside the Platform;

3.2.3 Using unauthorised aids, tools, or assistance (including AI tools not expressly permitted by InvinSource) during assessments or evaluations;

3.2.4 Misrepresenting InvinSource certificates or credentials in any professional or employment context.

3.3 Harmful and Illegal Content

3.3.1 Uploading, posting, transmitting, or distributing any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, threatening, abusive, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;

3.3.2 Publishing or sharing content that promotes, facilitates, glorifies, or incites illegal hacking, cybercrime, or the misuse of cybersecurity techniques;

3.3.3 Distributing malware, viruses, Trojan horses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code or software;

3.3.4 Engaging in or facilitating any activity that constitutes a criminal offence under the Information Technology Act, 2000 or any applicable law;

3.3.5 Posting content that threatens the sovereignty, security, integrity, or defence of India or any other nation, or that incites communal disharmony.

3.4 Privacy and Data Violations

3.4.1 Collecting, harvesting, or processing personal information of other users without their knowledge or consent;

3.4.2 Sharing personally identifiable information of third parties without authorisation;

3.4.3 Attempting to identify, de-anonymize, or profile other users of the Platform;

3.4.4 Recording or distributing mentorship sessions, live lectures, or Platform interactions without the prior written consent of all participants and InvinSource.

3.5 Platform Integrity

3.5.1 Attempting to bypass, circumvent, or disable any security measure, access control, authentication system, or technical protection on the Platform;

3.5.2 Using automated bots, scrapers, spiders, crawlers, or other automated tools to access, index, or extract content from the Platform without express written permission;

3.5.3 Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from any part of the Platform;

3.5.4 Interfering with or disrupting the integrity, performance, or availability of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure;

3.5.5 Creating multiple accounts to circumvent account suspensions, access restrictions, or fee requirements;

3.5.6 Framing, mirroring, or deep-linking to any portion of the Platform without InvinSource’s prior written authorisation.

3.6 Intellectual Property Violations

3.6.1 Copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative works from any InvinSource course content, lab materials, assessments, or other Platform content without express written permission;

3.6.2 Removing, altering, or obscuring any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices on the Platform;

3.6.3 Uploading or sharing content on the Platform that infringes the intellectual property rights of InvinSource or any third party.

3.7 Community and Communication Standards

3.7.1 Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or abusing other users, mentors, or InvinSource staff in any manner on the Platform;

3.7.2 Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or organisation;

3.7.3 Posting unsolicited commercial communications, spam, chain letters, or advertising on the Platform;

3.7.4 Sharing personal contact information of other users without their consent;

3.7.5 Engaging in any form of discrimination, hate speech, or conduct based on race, religion, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

3.8 Commercial Misuse

3.8.1 Using the Platform or its content for any commercial purpose other than as expressly permitted by InvinSource;

3.8.2 Reselling, sublicensing, or transferring access to the Platform or its content to any third party;

3.8.3 Using the Platform to compete with InvinSource or to develop a competing product or service.

4. Ethical Use of Cybersecurity Skills

InvinSource is a cybersecurity education platform that teaches both offensive and defensive security techniques. All users explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

Skills, tools, techniques, and knowledge acquired through InvinSource are to be used exclusively for lawful, ethical, and duly authorised purposes. Application of such skills against any system, network, or individual without explicit written authorisation from the system owner is a serious criminal offence under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable cybercrime laws.

InvinSource bears no responsibility or liability for any unauthorised, illegal, or unethical use of skills acquired through its Platform. Full liability for such misuse rests with the individual learner.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, including misuse of cybersecurity skills, academic dishonesty, harmful content, or Platform security vulnerabilities, you are encouraged to report it promptly to InvinSource through the Platform’s designated support or reporting channels.

InvinSource treats all reports seriously and will investigate reported violations in accordance with its internal policies. Reports may be made anonymously where possible. InvinSource will not penalise users who report violations in good faith.

6. Consequences of Violation

Violation of this AUP may result in one or more of the following consequences, at InvinSource’s sole discretion:

  • Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your Platform access;
  • Revocation of any certificates, badges, or credentials issued by InvinSource;
  • Forfeiture of any fees paid, without refund;
  • Referral of the matter to relevant law enforcement or regulatory authorities;
  • Civil or criminal legal proceedings against you;
  • Recovery of damages, costs, and expenses incurred by InvinSource as a result of the violation.

InvinSource reserves the right to cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in the investigation of any conduct that may constitute a criminal offence.

7. Monitoring and Enforcement

InvinSource reserves the right to monitor Platform activity, user conduct, posted content, and forum communications to ensure compliance with this AUP and the Terms and Conditions. Monitoring may be conducted by automated systems and by human reviewers.

InvinSource may, at its sole discretion, remove any content, restrict any feature, or take any other action it deems necessary to maintain the integrity and safety of the Platform and its learning community.

8. Relationship to Other Policies

This AUP supplements and forms part of the InvinSource Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between this AUP and the main Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions shall prevail. This AUP should also be read alongside the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and AI Features Terms of Use.

9. Updates to This Policy

InvinSource reserves the right to update or modify this AUP at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised AUP. We recommend you review this AUP periodically.

10. Governing Law

This AUP is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with this AUP shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Ahmedabad, India, in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions set out in the main Terms and Conditions.
